--असल नेता छान्ने कार्यक्रममै धाँधली--
नेताहरु भ्रष्ट भए, नेता भन्ने बित्तिकै खराब छवि मान्छेको मनमा आउने भयो भन्दै असल नेता टेलिभिजनको रियालिटी शोबाट छान्ने भन्दै केही साताअघिदेखि एउटा कार्यक्रम सञ्चालन भइरहेको थियो। खोज-युवा नेतृत्वको नामको यो कार्यक्रम लोकप्रिय पनि हुँदै थियो। पत्रकार युवराज घिमिरे, महिला अधिकारकर्मी सपना मल्ल प्रधान र संविधानविद् भीमार्जुन आचार्य यसका निर्णयक थिए। तर हेर बिजोग, असल नेता छान्ने कार्यक्रम मै धाँधली भएछ। अनि कहाँबाट छानिनु असल नेता? धाँधली भएको थाहा पाएपछि दाताले सहयोग रकम नै रोक्का गरिदिएछ। यो कार्यक्रमलाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विकासका लागि अमेरिकी एजेन्सी युएसएडले सहयोग गर्दै आएको थियो। रकम रोकिएपछि कारण कार्यक्रम नै अहिले बन्द भएको छ। हेर्नुस् त, अनि पाउँछौँ त हामीले राम्रा नेता?
अनियमितताका कारण टेलिभिजन कार्यक्रम खोज युवा नेतृत्वको स्थगित
खोज युवा नेतृत्वको नामक रियालिटी टेलिभिजन कार्यक्रमका प्रतियोगीहरुको प्राप्तांकमा स्टुडेन्ट पार्लियामेन्ट रिड्रयिंग नेपाल (एस. पी.आर.एन) ले अनियमितता गरेको कुरा प्रष्ट भएपछि केमोनिक्स इन्टरनेशनलले अनुदान स्थगित गर्ने निर्णय गरेकोछ। सो कार्यक्रम स्टुडेन्ट पार्लियामेन्ट रिड्रयिंग नेपाल (एस. पी.आर.एन) नामक स्थानीय गैर सरकारी संस्थाले निर्माण तथा संचालन गरेको हो। एस.पी.आर.एनले सो कार्यक्रम संचालनका लागि आर्थिक सहयोग केमोनिक्स इन्टरनेशनल मार्फत प्राप्त गरेको थियो।
प्रतियोगीहरुको प्राप्तांक अनियमितता भएको आशंका गरिए लगतै केमोनिक्स इन्टरनेशनलले तुरुन्तै अनुसन्धान प्रकृयालाई अगाडि बढाएको थियो। दुई हप्ताको अनुसन्धान पछि प्राप्तांकमा अनियमितता भएको र सही विजेता तोक्न नसकिने अवस्था भएको कुरा प्रष्ट भएको छ। सो कार्यक्रममा निर्णायकहरुले दिएका अंक र प्रतियोगिहरुले प्राप्त गरेका एस एम एस भोटका आधारमा प्रतियोगीहरुको नतिजा तय गरिने प्रावधान रहेको थियो तर अन्तिम नतिजा केमोनिक्सलाई आंशिक रुपमा मात्र उपलब्ध गराईएको र त्यसमा पनि अनियमितता भएको
पाईयो। केमोनिक्स इन्टरनेशनलले सम्बन्धित सरोकारवालाहरु सित छलफल गरेपछि यो कार्यक्रम अघि बढाउँदा प्रतियोगीहरु माथि नै अन्याय हुने र गलत विजेता छानिने डरका कारण यो कार्यक्रम स्थगित गर्ने निर्णयमा पुगेको हो। केमोनिक्स यो निर्णयको कारणले गर्दा प्रतियोगीहरुमा र दर्शकहरु माथि छाउने निराशा प्रति गहिरो सहानुभूति र दुःख प्रकट गर्दछ। साथै यस अनुसन्धान प्रक्रियामा प्रतियोगीहरुले देखाउनु भएको धैर्यताको कदर गर्दछ।
खोज युवा नेतृत्वको कार्यक्रमको मुख्य उद्देश्य देशभरिका नेपाली युवाहरुको फरक मत प्रति सहिष्णुता तथा समझदारी प्रवर्धनका साथै देशको नेतृत्व विकासमा उनीहरुले खेल्न सक्ने भुमिकालाई उजागर गर्नु रहेको थियो। सो अन्तर्गत यस कार्यक्रमले ७५ युवाहरुलाई तिनका योग्यता टेलिभिजन मार्फत प्रस्तुत गर्ने मौका प्रदान गरेको थियो। हामी यस कार्यक्रममा सहयोग पुर्याउनुहुने सम्पूर्ण दर्शकहरु र प्रतियोगीहरुले देखाउनुभएको लगनशिलता र सहभागिताका लागि धन्यबाद व्यक्त गर्दछौं। हामी आशा गर्दछौं कि यस कार्यक्रमका प्रतियोगिहरु यस नेतृत्व विकासको अभियानलाई भविष्यमा पनि निरन्तरता दिनुहुने छ। खोज युवा नेतृत्वको कान्तिपुर टेलिभिजनमा हरेक विहिबार राती ९ बजे प्रसारण हुदैं आइरहेको थियो।
Television Show Khoj: Yuwa Netritwa ko Canceled Due to Scoring Misconduct Chemonics International announces that it is canceling funding for production of the reality television show Khoj: Yuwa Netritwa ko. The decision to end the show comes after determining that contestants’ scores were manipulated by Student Parliament: Redrawing Nepal, the organization that developed and managed the program under a grant received from Chemonics.Upon learning that contestants’ scores may have been altered, Chemonics immediately launched an inquiry. After a two-week investigation, it was determined that the contestants scores had been manipulated and it is impossible to recover all the original documentation related to the scoring. As a result, there is no way to verify the correct winners of the elimination rounds. Scores for the contestants should have been determined equally by judges’ remarks and SMS votes.Chemonics did not reach this decision easily. After many meetings and interviews with involved parties, Chemonics concluded that ending the show was the only way to be fair to all contestants. Shooting and airing any further episodes risked treating a portion of the contestants unfairly, and potentially choosing the wrong winner. Chemonics understands the contestants and their supporters are disappointed and frustrated with this outcome and shares their concerns for the lapse on intergrity in the program. It appreciates the patience of the contestants during the investigation process.Khoj was created to develop tolerance, understanding, and different perspectives of young Nepalis throughout the country and to demonstrate the role they can play in the development of their country’s leadership. Although the program was cut short, it provided an opportunity to 75 youth to showcase their talents on national television. Chemonics deeply appreciates the public’s support of this program and celebrates the hard work and leadership shown by the contestants. We sincerely hope that the contestants use this program as a springboard to take up the mantle as the future leaders of Nepal and to excel in their chosen professions.
